The Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival is pleased to announce our second annual songwriting competition to be held in conjunction with the Sandy Lee Songfest! The competition is open to songwriters who are 18 or older (under 18 with parent or guardian signature) who have not been signed to a major label. Song entries will be judged by our panel of hit songwriters and producers who will be judging each song on its: Originality, Composition, Melody, Lyrics, and Phrasing . Songs may be submitted via e-mail or through our online submission partner, Sonicbids. All song submissions must include a lyric sheet.

The winner will be announced in September! They will receive a prize package provided by our 2013 Songwriting Competition Sponsors Sweetwater and Shure which includes:

• Sweetwater Recording Package - which includes 8 Hours of after-hours Recording Studio time, including tracking mix and mastering with a professional recording engineer and producer ($500 Value)
• Shure SM58 Microphone + Cable ($150 Value)
• The 2013 Sweetwater/Shure Songwriting Competition Winner will also be invited to perform at SLW Songfest 2014
